This and that worthy the effort

Pimp your Opera shortcut

Tired of that ugly default Opera Icon on your desktop? Hey! You haven't hidden it alltogether, have you? No matter, because today you can do your computer a favor and replace it with something far better. I give to you the pimped O!

Simply save this shiny Logo in .ico format somewhere you'll find it again, say in your Opera installation folder or something, and replace it for that fugly default one. In Windows, you simply right click on the desktop icon, select 'Properties' and 'Change icon...'. Find the newly saved icon and voila! Shinyness shines upon ya! :D

I kind of like the one MyOpera is using now on a black background. Not on white background.

And Oleg made a few really cool vector icons too:

Or if you like big what about: p:

Of course. I have a .svg version laying around somewhere too. Let's see... Oh here it is.

Sweet, it will look good scaled up as a background on my LG Shine. Been looking for something like this.

Cheers,

I've been using this one, or a very very similar one for over a year now as "application icon". It's the only one I really liked to look at in my status bar. The others are too thin; it looks like the "o"s are broken on WinXP.
