I look into the lyrics too. I fell in love with the lyrics before i fall for the music itself. I guess,its the true essence of the song. I'm a singer for so you know. hehe. ?D

Den1z so if the music is great but the lyrics suck big time you still like to listen to the song? I've got this deviation that bad lyrics can discourage me from listening to any piece.

well, depends on how great is the music. but generally nice notes come with nice lyrics. or you get used to the lyrics even if they're not that good. then I just say "well at least notes are good" and I listen to them. it is the music for me first

on the other side music is universal you know, I don't know if you listen to music with lyrics sung with a language that you don't understand but I do. I really have no idea what the singer is talking about but music makes me listen and like them

You have a point there deniz, because i do love spanish songs that i dont really understand and some chinese music too. but speaking of the songs you love the most, i prefer to like the lyrics. i fell in love with the lyrics first.

You are probably a musician or you play a certain musical instrument to appreciate the notes or the tune first rather than the lyrics.

and yes sometimes I listen to chinese, spanish, french, african...it doesn't matter. and I don't understand any word. and yes lyrics are important but generally the music itself hits me
