KLM, far away!, US and A, x-mass
So we have been already 1 week in the states. Last week on thursday we left with a KLM MD11 for SFO (San Francisco). The journey wenty better then expected. Before I was expecting anything between a disaster (screeming children al the 11 hours), a missed flight and even a forced landing in Greenland. But we were on time, checked in on time and made it to the gate on time. Flight left on time and except from the fact that my son developed a diareah and that my wife became ill after 8 hours, the children in general behaved well and we were not too tired when we approached SFO. The passing of customs went well (I am not on the black list

). But then one of our suitcases was still in Amsterdam. Bummer. We received it the next day.
Then after some time of aclimatisation (and overcomming the jetlag) we left on monday for disneyland. After only 5 hours of driveing we arrived in Annaheim and the two days (tuesday and wednesday) we visited Disneyland and Carlifornia. We slept in a very confortable hotel and had japanese for dinner and australian. Dining (eating out in general) is great in the US and A. The restaurant staff is determined to helping you out so you can have a nice evening. Especially when arriving in a party of 8 people (from which 4 are under 3 years) any help is very welcome. In the Netherlands dining can become a disaster, but we have untill now experienced only positive expieriences.
Now we are preperating for X-mass (which is a very big thing around here). More on specific X-mass things in a future post.
