THE PURGE

I am waking up. Every day something causes me to step back, and re-evaluate where I'm going. For the last 28 years, I've led a very unhealthy lifestyle. If you asked me about it, I would say something to the effect of "Whatever! We're all gonna die of something! At least I'll know what my "something" is!". My thoughts are changing on that. As I approach the ripe old age of thirty, I'm finally feeling my mortality a bit.
These days, we're raised on toxins. In fact, we're toxic waste dumps. 50% of American adults will get cancer before they die because of their eating habits/vices/environment. Ridiculous.
I've done some research on fasting before, but never wanted to actually go through it. I've read that it forces your body to cannibalize on its' own waste for energy, cleaning up years of built up shit. Beginners usually start out with a fruit/vegetable juice fast. Water fasting is much more hellish.
In Jesus time, it was easier. They didn't have fast food, twinkies, or 17 million chemicals floating around in their air and water. Jesus fasted on water for 40 days to prepare for his bout with Satan, which he won in a tenth round knockout I hear.... But these days, water fasting will leave you gagging on toxins unless your prepared mentally and physically.
For the next seven days, I'll be putting myself through hell. Maybe I'll meet Jesus by the end of it....
I'm gonna juice fast for the first three days, water fast for the next three days, and switch back to juice for the last day. I'm also gonna quit smoking during the fast.
I'm going for the gusto, and I need support.
That's why I'm posting this, and will be posting every day. It should be quite interesting by this weekend. I'm sure I'll be inspired to write a couple of songs and produce something in the way of art during this process. And hopefully, I'll successfully purge myself of the bioaccumulative mess of chemicals that's been eating away at my being and making me sluggish and sick for years.
I ate "The Last Supper" tonight. It consisted of my three favorite things: Caffiene, Nicotine, and Chocolate.

I went shopping and bought my last pack of smokes, which will be rationed out over seven days.
I also picked out some fruit, and some carrots. I laid it all out,and bagged it for each day. This is what my fast looks like. Obviously, I'll be drinking way more water than what's in the picture. And once again, it's just the juice I'll be consuming. So not even the pulp. The whole point is to put your digestive system to sleep, so that it can heal. So, no peristalsis!

Well, I'm off to bed. I've allowed myself a cup of coffee in the morning to instigate
one more "you know what" before plunging into the unknown. This is gonna take some serious brain and soul power, but I gotta do it. It's part of my master plan I wrote today.
Good Night.
