Well, I've started something I must finish. I've gone and started an ad hoc organization.
My friends enjoy playing devils advocate by asking me things like, "What do you hope to accomplish?", "What is the point?", "What are your long term goals?", How are you gonna make money?" ...."Because people will ask..."
My end goals are much too idealistic for a simple answer. Words like "Utopia" and "Cultural Sustainability" seem like distant thunder to most workin' folks. They trod along,occasionally
heaving up their weary skulls just in time to see the sign that dots their path:

Fuck the Hamster Wheel of Weekly Pay. I'm doing it my way. I've watched "It's a Wonderful Life"
and I couldn't agree more. All you need is friends. Lots of 'em.
So, on Septiembre 9th, I'm having a party. A coming out for my idea. A revolutionary idea that will turn New Orleans on it's head. Ready? Community. Yeah, I said it. I've already got six local bands lined up. I've got a lawyer that will get permits. Electricity is taken care of. All I need to do is pay for some Port o Potties and I'll be set.
Oh yeah, I have a website as well. I registered the domain name a couple of days ago. My buddy Dan
will be working on the site as I provide him with content. He has a weird sense of humor, as you'll see in the near future. You can see that now actually, as he already threw something up on the webpage to replace "This site coming soon." He won't tell me what it means, but I think it means "I loved you." You'll get it after a little bit. Anyways, bookmark it. I have big plans for the site. Thanks for reading and commenting. Your positive feedback inspires me to "Keep New Orleans Weird".
