Since the "Member of the Week" thing came about, I feel like the unofficial "Ambassador of Mardi Gras" to the Opera Community! I'll try to cover as much of the festivities as I can while attempting to maintain some sort of sobriety.
One of the most collectible items in the Mardi Gras is the Doubloon.

And I've got a crazy idea as well. For anyone that would like a doubloon, email me.
That's right.
I'm sure I will end up with hundreds of them. We can do something like a self addressed stamped envelope thing. They're aluminum, so even two or three are pretty light. And don't worry. I'll not be sending you the plague or anything. I'd just like to share the wealth. If anyone's interested, let me know!
