VIRTUAL TOUR: Part 1 - My Room
Saturday, March 22, 2008 7:25:25 PM
What's up Ya'll.
I've been stuck around the house for a few days with a bum ankle so I've been doing a lot of spring cleaning and rearranging...in a wheelchair...mixed with hobbling. I've decided to give you with a virtual tour of my domain. I lost everything when Hurricane Katrina struck in August of 2005, but since then I've come a long way. 98% of the stuff in my house was found on the streets of New Orleans over the last 2 1/2 years. (Obviously, things like sheets and pillows, ect. do not count.) I am a master of "temporary pack-ratism" meaning I will find things and keep them until I find something better to replace them with. The old object gets placed in front of my house for the next person to find and the cycle continues. NOLA has a great junk culture.
I figure the first installment should cover my room since that's where I'm currently hanging out. It's been a cave for awhile, but I finally took down all the curtains and pried the windows open. (The landlord caulked them shut...) It feels good to finally get some fresh air... Here we go:
Notice the the camping equipment in a perpetual state of readiness...

Here's my office. It's gonna be a little while before I can actually afford office space.

As we pan to the right, we see my TV. It's the flattest screen money can buy. I've got to pull the shades to watch during the day though. My projector's not the brightest.

And finally to nerve center. This is where I'm sitting right this moment. To your right is the DVD/projector/printer/laptop station and to the left is the recording booth and aquarium section. (I recently stumbled across FOUR aquariums, so I have fish all over the place now. Kick-ass. Next is snakes and frogs...)

Well, that's about it for now. Thanks for coming on the tour. Join me next time when we venture into the living room...
Peace.[/COLOR]
