The Last Post

I felt like singing a sad song today, one of loss and longing. But, I've taught myself to change gears and use another part of my brain on occasions like this. One that isn't as disgruntled.
Today I will tinker. And I've decided to let this post evolve as I work through what's bothering me. Finding things and fixing them is very theraputic for me. Today I've decided on searching for bikes. They're pretty easy to find lying around New Orleans. A lot of them get stolen and abandoned in various places, often times in pretty bad condition. Let me drive around for a bit....
Ok. I'm back. I found two bikes! Well...kind of...Their pretty much just frames but I think I can "frankenstein" them together...

Wow! I'm already in a way better mood! The Saints just lost, but we're in the playoffs anyway.
Tonight will be great. I've just been invited to a potluck followed by partying on Frenchmen St.
It should be a blast. What was I so worried about earlier? Oh well...It's prolly better that I don't try to remember. I'm making a real mess of my shop!

Sometimes all you can do is let your mind wander and get your hands dirty. Turning scrap metal into a functional piece of transportation is an excellent way to free your mind...and very productive as well. My guests, whom ever they be, will have a nice ride soon enough....
There! I'll post a picture when I get home and clean up!
Crap! I forgot my camera cord. Anyway, this post is not done. It's gonna keep evolving iffin' ya wanna save your comments. I'll show you the fruits of my labor tommorrow, as well as tonights adventures through the streets of Nawlins'. I've still got to resolve a money issue, clean up, cook something exquisite, make it to the party on time, ect. ect. ect. I'll document it so you can see the crazy workings of my mind. I won't see you until tommorrow so Happy Freakin' New Years everybody! Stay tuned....
Ok. Here it is. It ain't pretty but it's pretty badass. I especially like the gun rack on the front....
Well guys and girls, it's been fun. I'm done with this I think. Don't ask why. I'm just done.
It's been good, and I really love all of you. I tried and failed...

Very Candide.
I hope it's not the last one though, but it's your choice.
Good vibes, whatever happens in your life Dillon.
