First summer trip part two: Moscow

As I was talking in the previous part, my exams ended in June, 25th, so my cousin has convinced me about the trip and on the June, 29th we've left our lovely city by the train.

We've been on a train 4 about 2 and a half days. U may think that this is strange, but this is Russia, and our train system is freaking weird. We'd love 2 use a plane, but it's too expensive even inside the country. Yeah, I totally agree this is ridiculous, but I can't do anything 'bout it.

Train isn't very comfortable way 2 travel 2 somewhere, but it's not the reason y so many people in Russia loves trains. It's because of people traveling in the train. And I love that part too, actually. Usually, I don't like people but after the trip u won't see this people again and u can learn a lot of new, interesting things. Especially, when u r using cheap tickets. This time, there was not so awesome company, but they were good people too - they were mom, dad and their 17-years old sun (it was 'bout 17, I can't remember it properly). They were traveling from Kazakhstan (I can't remember the city, unfortunately, it was something hard 2 spell) to Moscow 4 have a rest in summer. We had a great time playing cards and talking 'bout simple things.

After arriving it was 4 A.M., so, we decided 2 wait 4 a while. It was my first time in such a big megapolis. It start 2 kinda even push on u. U know, a lot of people who are hurrying 2 somewhere and nobody cares 'bout u. Maybe if I were there a little longer than just one day, then I would a little understand it, I suppose.

When the subway had opened, me & my cousin decided 2 go 2 the Red Square. I mean, this is Moscow, right? And what is the most popular attraction in the city? Red Square, of course! And also Kremlin, but it's part of the Red Square, so, this is the most important thing every tourist should see.

This is not the best shot of the Red Square, but there was a motor rally with a lot of foreign people, especially from China. And this is not the thing that can surprise, 'cause this motor rally had had a link with the Silk road. They were especially on Land Rovers but there was a Russian on Toyota. Here's a few shots from there:

Here's the Saint Basil's Cathedral.

And here's cathedral which name is unknown to me

Then we've gone to the Alexandrovskiy garden which is behind the Kremlin. It's extremely beautiful garden, and there's a park dedicated 2 all who's fallen protecting us and our country during the Great Patriotic War (it's the name of the period in World War II from June, 22nd to May, 9th and it's about the fightings on the Eastern front). It was kinda ashamed standing there, 'cause, IMO, we haven't protected our country from bastards that r now in the government. Our grandfathers had done it and we've not. U can just look that now we have from the rest of the Soviet Union, one of the strongest & great countries in the world. Now we only have a lot of people who r hating each other and an extremely amazing history. And the sadest thing 'bout it is there's nothing we can do 'bout it...

Anyway, after visiting the Aleksandrovskiy Garden we were a bit hungry so we've moved 2 McDonald's. It was a new experience 4 uis, 'cause we don't have any McDonald's in our hometown. It was in teresting and tasty! smile

After that I've called my best friend from Moscow and we talked 'bout our meeting. He said then he'll be where we were later, so we'd walked on the Red Square 4 a while and used the expensive resturaunt there to reload our cellphones. We've visited GUM (the mall on the Red Square) also.

After a while, my friend had arrived and we left my cousin at pizza resturaunt so we could hang out 4 a while, 'cause my cousin doesn't very interesting in things that me and my friend like. He's shown me the arbat - one of the most popular tourist attractions in Moscow, we've talked a lot and had a good time. Then we took our brother, came to Subway resturaunt, where me and my friend ate 2 subs, and there his friend, a very good person, joined us. We've left the cafe and moved to the Arbat, where we also talked a lot. They know a lot of things I like, so we've had a lot of themes 2 talk.

So, these meetings were very important 4 me, and it took a big part of time, so after that my good friend & my new friend'd leaved us 'cause it was about 8 pm, and they'd a lot of things 2 do. My and my cousin've decided 2 visit the museum of tortures. That was the kind of museum I'd never attended, so it was fresh 4 me. U know, electric chair & stuff, it has its own charm. bigsmile We also've meet there a girl & her buddy from England and helped them with translations from Russian.

After such a visit we'd little time before the train to Saint-Petersburg, so we used a subway 2 go 2 the train station. At 10 pm we've moved from train station to Saint-Petersburg by the train.

NOTE:I'll add some photos here and a part 3 tomorrow, 'cause I want 2 sleep now.
