First summer trip part three: Saint-Petersburg, Moscow again & the way back
Thursday, July 18, 2013 4:14:01 PM
We've arrived in Saint-Petersburgh at 4 am, so the subway was closed and we went to the nearest coffee house 2 wait 4 a while. Actually, we were drinking Pu-erh tea there, which has weird taste, as 4 me.
When the subway opened, we moved 'till the 'Oktyabrskay' station where we took a bus to Gatchina - the city near the Saint-Petersburg where my godfather lives. But unfortunately we missed our stop so my godfather used his car 2 catch us.
After a little break we've go 2 the Saint-Petersburg again 2 examine it properly. And that was really fantastic! This city just blows your mind, especially, if u have never attended some Europian cities with old-school architecture! Baroque, Gothic etc. - it's everywhere! Your eyes becoming blown from the beauty of all this. I've had a feeling that every single inch in this city is a historical attraction and u r now like in XIX century or sth like this.
The first thing we attended there was Nevskiy avenue. Damn, that was extremely amazing. I still can't realize that I were there. Every freakin' building were there like a historical attraction or something. Every. Freaking. Building. Shops, restaurants, coffee houses, cafes, book stores - all of this is so freaking beautiful that I don't have any words 2 describe how amazing it was! I'll just show u a few shots from there:
Nevskiy avenue is so amazing place that we were there all day and totally forgot about time. Fortunately, we catched our bus on time, so we didn't have any problem with coming home.
On the next days me & my cousin decided 2 brought the cousin's documents 2 PGUPS (Petersburg State Transport University) and after that we were on Nevskiy avenue again. After a long walk on the avenue and a dinner in McDonald's we decided 2 attend Military Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineers and Signal Corps. It is the most famous military museum in Saint-Petersburg. I can't say how awesome it was, so here's a few pictures from the museum.
That museum is so extremely huge so we were there 4 a very long time and we still haven't seen anything there properly. So it took a lot of time and we almost missed our bus, but again we were lucky 2 go back in time.
On the third day me & my cousin were attending a lot of universities - SPbGU (Saint Petersburg State University) but my cousin's showed himself as a coward - he hasn't brought his documents there, 'cause he could messed up there. I didn't stopped him, 'cause I'm just a cousin, not a mom. But still, I guess, that was stupid from his side.
We also have hung up on embankments and canals.
The last day was the most awesome, 'cause we attended Petergof. This is just amazing. The beauty of every inch, the style, the richness, - all of that is the rest of the Russian Empire. Such a beautiful palace in modern style, golden details, church, avenues, and, of course, fountains - it is just magnificent. Here's a few pictures from there.
U know, I guess, that Petergof is the most amazing attraction in the whole Russia. 'cause nowhere u'll see that beauty as there.
But again we 've had small time, and Petergof requires at least a full day there 2 examine itself at least 2 create some kind of opinion 'bout it, but I'm doing what I can. As a good side, backwards, we used a boat, so I've seen a sea first time in my life. I also saw a nuclear power station there, Narva (an Estonian city) and even Helsinki, I suppose.
After such a magnificent excursion we found a comics shop where I left a lot of my money, but bought a few good European comics (BD as it calls).
Because of time again we moved to the train station where we've been waiting 4 our train 2 Moscow.
When we were in Moscow again, I wanted 2 meet my friend again, but he had some troubles, so we haven't met then. (Fortunately he faced all of his trouble & now everything is alright about it) So, like a 11-year old children we were moving from station 2 station in subway all day until the train 2 our hometown.
On the way back 2 our hometown, there was a passengers who were located with us. And these were that kind of People I like. There was a woman from Riga, Latvia and a guy from Kirov. Both r smart, reading people, so, we've found a lot of interesting 2 talk 'bout. Literature, politics, philosophy etc. - that was really interesting & fun. If u reading this, u r the best passengers I've ever met!
So, what can I say in the end? This trip was really cool. U know, first time 2 see the sea, the capital, the cultural capital - all these r new 4 me. Actually, I don't really know, how 2 react on this. It's complicated 4 me. So, it was cool, but too short 4 understanding it properly.
Anyway, thanks 4 your attention, I really appreciate it! If there r any mistakes in the text, please, write 'bout it in comment section bellow and I'll correct it. My English sucks, u know.
NOTE: I'll add all the photos tomorrow.
