Description

Obook plug-in is an add-on to Opera Browser 8.x-9.x. Analogue to Scrapbook for Firefox. You may access and manage your saved web-pages from Opera sidebar.
With OBook you may easily save web-pages with all their content - images, scripts, css - manage saved pages and organize them in a tree-like structure. Obook plugin is capable to performing filtered search. You may export and import your saved pages and folders between different OBook bases. And no duplicated pages are loaded again while doing it. You may edit a required page with any HTML-editor or open it in any required application, and view files that belong to the web-page. As well as to visit the online version of the page you selected with a click.

Sorry, it looks like I will have to give up on obook, which I really like but am looking for replacement at the moment. The reason is AVG claims obhook.dll has trojan in it and disable the dll automatically. Everytime I try to use obook, I have to disable AVG, which is very inconvenient. Another problem occurs in Vista, where whenever I save the obook, I always get the save web page window prompt and I have to click save manually.

Hi Dimitri,

Any news on the 'copy and paste normal clipboard' (not just text) feature you wanted to implement? This is the #1 feature for me and most of my friends. We spend our lives copying and pasting from web pages into oneNote, and plain text doesn't cut it. I often open FF just for that (!).

I have the same problem kduanutas talks about, here you can see a snapshot of the troyan horse detected by AVG 7.5.503 Free Edition.

What is the point ? Who have we to believe, the Antivirus or the Author ? There must be a mistake somewhere. I loved the plugin, but until somebody clears this thing I dont dare to use it. Responses required please

Этот перец решил загадку, над которой я сидел 4 часа.
Как установить obook на opera@usb.
А именно нужно:
Переименовать op.com в opera.exe, и установить obook с указанием путей и все. Более того как он утверждает остальные плагины также будут работать как под обычной оперой.

Me parece fantástico que hayas desarrollado Obook para Opera. Te consulto: Uso Opera 9.50 beta y AVG Antivirus, el cual me detecta en OBhook.dll el virus Trojan horse Delf.DBG y pese a que marco ignorar el mensaje, no logro grabar la página en Obook.

La única razón que me detiene para pasarme de Firefox a Opera es esta. En Firefox tengo Scrapbook, pero si en Opera logra funcionar Obook puewdo pasarme, ya que Opera es mucho más rápido y tiene Widgets.

Sería fantástico que en esta página indiques cómo solucionar este asunto y a futuro establezcas como importar a Obook la información guardada en Scrapbook.

Второй раз пытаюсь установить oBook (причем на разных компьютерах - Windows XP Prof, Windows Vista Ultimate) и оба раза неудачно: при попытке сохранить что-нибудь, Опера падает - Windows выдает сообщение "Прекращена работа приложения" и закрывает Оперу. Выяснить причину не удалось: хотя я и задействовал лог (опция opera:Config\User prefs\Console Error Log Enabled), но файл error.log при этом не создается.

Некоторые подробности всё же имеются.
1) В панели oBook Plugin сохраненная страница появляется, но не открывается.
2) В директории данных X:\oBook появилась только папка с текущей датой 20080626082927 - пустая.
3) Проверил obook.ini на предмет путей\файлов - ничего подозрительного не нашел.

Итак, где рыть? Подскажите, уважаемые гуру.

It's Opera bug. Binary fix for opera.dll here, but it may cause other problems.

Windows Vista Ultimate

Not tested, but afair Vista forbids a global hooks and Obook don't work.

Thanks for the plugin. I am having a problem with it when using version the new Opera version 10. When Opera Turbo is enabled, your plugin won't load. It took me a while to find this out by trial and error. If I disable Opera Turbo, close Opera and restart it then Obook works again.

Кнопки появляются на панельки. Однако при попытке сохранить страничку выскакивает окно что Опера не связана с приложением. В чем может быть причина?
