Opera widgets against Google Desktop 2.0 and Windows Sidebar !!!

,

A few weeks ago one my friend showed me Google Desktop 2.0 on his laptop. I heard about this program before, but never tried to use it. What I really loved in this program is the desktop sidebar, with small useful applications that show you weather, time, date, news etc. As I know such sidebar is included with Windows Vista, but there are also other programs that creating such sidebars, like Yahoo! Widgets or Thoosje Sidebar. The gadgets on the desktop are looking like that: --->

So I liked the Google Desktop Sidebar and decided to install the program. But later I thought: if I have Opera widgets, why do I need to download external programs to create the sidebar? The only problem was that Opera widgets are working only with the browser. I tried to find solution in Internet, but soon understood that it's impossible. However I wasn't disappointed, I also use Opera as Mail Client ( M2 ), download manager etc, so it's running almost all the time. So, what I need is to hide Opera into Systray, when I don't work with it. It was not so easy, as it seems !! I found that in previous versions there was shortcut combination: [Ctrl]+ [H], but since version Opera 9.5 it became: [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Shift]+[H] ! I wonder how is it supposed to hold 4 keys in the same time ?! :yikes: I reprogrammed mine to [Shift] + [D] ) Also I created a button [Hide] ( to minimize Opera into System Tray )with a very useful widget ButtonMaker.

When I finish working with Opera I simply press the [Hide] button or use easy-to-remember shortcut combination [Shift] + [D]. After that, I downloaded different useful widgets from here: analog watch, calendar, reminder, news viewer, weather etc. For all the widgets I set the option Always Below. It means that the widgets are always below other applications on the Desktop! Also the widgets' icons in the taskbar disappear. So, it looks just like Google Desktop - we see only icon of Opera ( or of Google Desktop ) in systray .

P.S. Find 3 differences between the top picture and bottom one :D
