About me
'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"You have answered correctly," Jesus replied. "Do this and you will live."
My work
Number one is sharing God's love with my family, my friends and with whomever I meet as I am traveling the Way.I am an avid farmer/gardener. I love teaching people how to grow their food in a way that builds the soil without destroying the source of our earthly sustenance. Thus I have farmed as an adult using totally 'organic' methods. No pesticides or herbicides are needed.
But I keep in mind that people are always more important than any ecological agenda. Jesus told me to 'Love our neightbor', not the earth. See Healing Hands International http://www.hhi.org/ for more information.
Teaching the disadvantaged (including M$ users) how to use Open Source software and to fix computer hardware is a gift my Father has given me. I like to use that gift for His glory.
I agree with K.P. Johannan when he says, "The battle against hunger and poverty is really a spiritual battle, not a physical or social one as secularists would have us believe. The only weapon that will ever effectively win the war against disease, hunger...and poverty...is the gospel of Jesus Christ.” As the Apostle Paul said, "Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up." And as he said elsewhere in his first letter to the Corinthians, "If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing."
I have given up my job as a Network Analyst for TAMU (Texas A&M University) as of May 2nd, 2008. We are now living in Catacamas, Olancho, Honduras. Now that the NGO we helped get off the ground is running with local talent, we are pursuing other ways to assist the christians, churches and community in Olancho.
