DBA(R) Project

Well this is my new year's resolution being put into operation.
DBA Renaissance Project - history.
I have been a long-term 'ancients' player but now there is a schism within that community - some cling on to DBM, others have moved into DBMM and yet more are adherents of Field of Glory (FoG). Judiciously I read through DBMM and had a distinct feeling of deja-vue (DBR or what?). Trying to remember who does what in which phase is too much for my poor little brain. This made me look elsewhere (until I read through FoG!).
I chanced upon DBA v2.1 Pike & Shot Extension by June, Jeppson & Chinnici on the DBA Fanaticus site. This led me on to looking through old magazines and other sites. It also meant a foray into Darkest Roof Space in search of my (too) large collection of unpainted figures.
Stage One - Thirty Years War
I found (Italieri) plastic figures for Imperials and Swedes. My George Gush book gave me some ideas on how to paint them up. I soon had 24 elements painted. The game was afoot.
Hopefully I will have some photos done soon. Haven't figured out how to use the Wargaming group I set up yet so further posts will be on this site until I do figure it out.
