What They Richly Deserved

Well no surprise there then? A rubbish side got kicked out. England for the Egg Cup! A bunch of prima-donnas who never looked up the word "team" in a dictionary. They think it's all over - it is now!

Meanwhile back at the ranch Mika had her first outing. I looked in on her Sunday night (around midnight) and no sign. Come the morning still nothing and her food untouched. I opened the back window and called out - Nix! Post breakfast off I went round the waste ground behind my house - still no reply. Just about to go out so I tried again - this time an answer came from the jungle that is supposed to be my back garden. When I opened the back door she trotted in as though she owned the place!

Yesterday woken somewhat abruptly by the sound of a road drill. Next door having a new water connection between the pavement and their premises installed. They are doing it because of the leaks and flooding suffered by both of us on an irregular basis. Trouble was that when the contractors dug down they discovered a fresh-water leak. This was supposed to have been fixed by Yorkshire Water about six months ago. YW now have to inspect the site. No doubt they will try to wriggle out of paying for the damage. These things just go on and on and on.

On the bright side it looks like I may get the loan of a camera soon so the Streps can be put on site. Don't know how to do that yet! When I do you, dear reader, might get some bright pictures. Keep your fingers crossed.
