The Law Is An Ass

Two local youths, my near neighbours, have decided that blasting out loud music, with a pounding beat, is their reason for existence.
Complaints to the local council have resulted in precisely nothing. It seems that more people need to complain in order to get a conviction. Considering that the two culprits are still at school the law is even more reluctant to deal with them.
A noise abatement notice was served but they just ignore it. In spite of this the police regard it as a civil matter and will not intervene.
So far the local councillor has been as much use as a chocolate fireguard. Trying to contact the local M.P. has failed because his email connection is down (how convenient).
I wonder how many of you live in a village - some way from police support - remote from the local authorities. "Out of sight is out of mind" so the saying goes. As long as those in power are comfortable to hell with everybody else.
Dear Mr Cameron is supposed to be cracking down on anti-social behaviour - he wants to get on with it.
