Well the police have dropped the ball.

When they checked with the landlord of No.27 they found that notice had not been served until 20th January 2013. I had been previously informed that this had happened on 16th December 2012.

Of course should the tenants not go bailiffs would have to be sent in and that could take months.

I can remember the times of unscrupulous landlords and their dirty tricks. Like making a mess of a roof repair so that water poured in ruining a bedroom and the kitchen below. No doubt there are still Rackman types out there.

Since the sixties various pieces of legislation have come in giving tenants rights. From my own experience I can vouch for the necessity of such laws. However it seems that the balance may have tipped too far the other way.

Getting rid of anti-social neighbours is an uphill struggle requiring constant pressure on local police and politicians. Meanwhile they swagger about flouting the law and causing a nuisance.

Come on Mr Cameron get your finger out!
