Just a Short Note

Has it really been so long since I posted?
Thanks to my ********* ISP I was off-line for 3 months, back on for 18 days (at 0.4 rate) and now off again. Being 8 miles from my exchange means I get a poorer service than Outer Mongolia (or that's what it feels like).
It seems to me that we get a raw deal from our ISPs.
We are promised "up to 8Mg" but receive a damn sight less than that (the best I ever managed was 1Mg).
If something goes wrong you get put through the managle with so-called assistance from someone slavishly adhering to a script.
You can't sue them because the broadband comes as a "free" extra to your telephone service (which has been less than perfect at times).
If you look for an alternative supplier who really delivers the goods - you will not find it.
There was supposed to be UK government action on this problem. Nothing has happened. Surprise! Surprise!
