She Did IT!

Not even 12 hours after taking that photo in the post below, of Bunny...she birthed 3
I was on baby goat watch all evening last night, and we didn't come into the house until 1:38 this morning.
We had to leave Bunny, in labour in the barn as it seemed that it was taking forever!
At 3:15 a.m.
Good thing too...cuz Bunny had just birthed her first son.
I ran back to the house..and woke Peter up and told him to come quick--there were more coming!
In the next 1/2 hour...she birthed 2 more BIG boys!
Bunny is our only- non-Boer goat. She is an Alpine goat. SO her babies aren't pure Boer. That's ok...they are gorgeous nonetheless.
Check out the colours on the lad below! He looks like a Holstein cow.
That's it for us for babies for now. Abe fathered 14 babies in TOTAL.(Chase born in July) 13 born in this last week!

You should see our barn now...babies EVERYWHERE! It's really cute..they are very active & mischievous little critters.

(Dot & Betty---a week old today!)
Have a great week-end...I know we will!
MORE PICS HERE
Congratulations to you all!

I have to laugh at Bunny's pic...that's exactly like her. We are selling her as soon as her babies are sold..(when weaned)
She would make someone a great pet.
We are focussing on Boers.
Thanks Lois.

They are sooo cute, I just would hug.
Did you know: if I had a house with a meadow, I also would have a few goats. But
Where we live you can find a lot of goats. And every year (I think in april) there is a festival, called Goats-festival near our village.
I love to go there and hope that I can take some photos this year.

Elke..
Thanks Marie..
Yes, there is a sense of relief, for now...that they are all done ..FOR now..
Last Sunday we were going to have omelets and fried potatoes and sausages for dinner...well, with all the birthing fun that afternoon..we had to postpone it till today!
We have 6 boys and 7 girls...and if they don't sell for breeding...they will for meat.
The Boers are in demand...and we don't register ours so, they can go a little cheaper.
I do love their personalities too...they are definitely affectionate. I find that they've become more so, since they birthed.

And Rick..yep, I remember!
They are so funny...I was in the barn last night, my presence is needed with these naughty babies! I was being nibbled on by 6 little goats at any given time! Soooo cute...so friendly.
