It was 5:45 a.m. 
I heard.....what sounded like a machine gun firing.
I almost hit the ceiling! 
Turns out, it was a woodpecker.
They have been waking me up almost every morning lately..tap-tap-tapping on the tin roof.
This is more than enough incentive for me to build the bed & get into my new bedroom...TODAY!
Nice alarm eh? Not to mention the 4 mosquitoes buzzing around our heads and the pair of squirrels I could here fighting or whatever they were doing so early this morning!
Yesterday I got ambitious and built a dresser..and almost have all the drawers done & inserted already!
Today...I am putting the bed together once the boys go camping. My eldest will help me get it together.
Then last night my youngest child/son looked as if he was crying..
So I asked, "what's wrong?" He said, "nothing, my eye is sore. I think I have red eye."
"Red eye?", I replied. "Yes, red eye.", he said.
"Don't you mean, pink eye?" I asked. He said, "Yes pink eye...my friend Faith & Zoe in my class had pink eye."
"How long has your eye been bothering you?" I asked.
He replied, "Since the morning."
I sent him off to play with a friend all day yesterday.
Anyhow..we ended up in Emerg at the hospital to get him a perscription.
After the hospital we all had a treat at Dairy Queen...we deserved it! I planted all my seeds, and the flowers that my hubby bought..and I built a lot of the furniture for our new room!
Also the children managed to stack a whole bunch of firewood.
So we all worked hard.
Oh yes, I almost forgot to mention..on the way to the hospital..right on the side of the road on a tree were 2 Pileated Woodpeckers! I am so not thrilled that I didn't have my camera with me! They were so beautiful they looked fake. These guys are not normally so public!
These are big birds measuring approx. 17 inches.
Now my dh & the boys are getting ready to go camping over night. He had to work yesterday or else they would already all be gone. So it's just me & the girls today!
We are going to have a blast!
