My brother and my nephew arrived on Thursday from BC.
Due to unfortunate circumstances he couldn't stay with us the first night.

Wow...I feel like I have been through a whirl wind the last few days.
With my brother down from B.C. it has been a blast!
Saturday evening...we went to a local Santa Clause parade. Our son Josh was marching in the parade with the Cadets. So, we met my brother, wife & baby there.
Afterwards we went home and played cards till after midnight. I beat all of them. We played with my daughter, Amanda, -Peter, Cliff (brother) & his wife- Sharalee. It's a card game called Rook...and it is WAY too much fun. Even through the slits for eyes I had ...I claimed the VICTORY!!
Anyhow..the next morning, Sunday we had church and then we had a potluck at my dad's place.
It was soooooooo great to see my brother...get to bond with my nephew, who is the cutest baby in the world! He is so happy...there was rarely a negative sound that came from his adorable face.

My brother & his family are off, back to B.C. this morning..if the weather permits. They had a huge dumping of snow..which is a miracle event...not like B.C. at all.

Yesterday started off to be a normal day.
I baked a cake...(what else is new? actually I have a wedding cake to do...not the actual cake, but one for on the side because the bride thinks there will be a lot of people & not enough cake with the wedding cake)...I made icing..for the cake.
I did a bit of cleaning. I spent a long time on the phone trying to figure out why on earth I couldn't get on the internet.
Basically, you get the point...normal day.
I thought, I am gonna have a shower, then try to get on the net...(about 2:30 in the afternoon)...
I showered...then made the kids lunches for the next day..then got on the computer..
I was sipping my tea, and I thought I heard a car pull up our driveway.
I got up...slightly annoyed that I would have to step away from the keyboard so soon after finally logging on.
There was a really nice Dodge Eagle..(I think) parked in my driveway..."What the heck?"..then, a guy stepped out, "wow, he looks like my brother!..naw...he can't be my brother...my brother never said he was coming!" Well, for crying out loud...it was my brother!! And his wife!! And his baby...my nephew- Josiah!!! I haven't met him yet...until yesterday!!
I just lost it and cried. I wish I had pics to capture the moment...it was priceless!
I got to hold Josiah, who is 7 months now...for such a long time. He is ADORABLE!
He has jowls, his cheeks are so big...perfect for munching on!
What a solid baby. I am just so thrilled...I can't express how much it meant to me that he would surprise me like that.
He surprised my dad, the day before, just after they arrived from Vancouver.
Apparently his reaction was priceless too, he exclaimed, "It's you!"...
My sister was the only one that knew that Cliff & family were coming. She did a great job keeping a secret. Way to go Gwen!! Have an awesome day everyone! Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends!

(Picture with my doctor...Dr. Vachet..she delivered Amanda, Josh, Jeremy & there, Jamie-Lynn.)
9 years ago today! Jamie-Lynn entered this world at 3:40 a.m., weighing in at 8 lbs 8 oz. Measuring 20 1/2 inches long. She was born at the Montfort hospital, east of Ottawa.
After a daughter, then 2 sons...she was definitely a blessing! Another girl.
This pregnancy was probably the most memorable one for me. I was selling Party-Lite candles during that time...and in the last month of my pregnancy...Amanda, Josh & Jeremy contracted the Chicken Pox. On top of that Peter developed Strep throat...and was given penicillin which he had a serious allergic reaction to.
He was so sick. 
I was so pregnant and exhausted taking care of 3 itchy children! Anyhow...I must release those memories..since they are in the past!! Happy Birthday Jamie!!!
This pic was taken on Thanksgiving Day in Oct. 1997. My sister-in-law & mother-in-law came over with gifts for Jamie. We were supposed to be over at my other sister-in-law's for dinner...but my kids had the Chicken Pox. So, they popped over with these gifts.
