Ok...I decorated with stuff I already had handy..
What do you think?
Elke suggested below, that I put a potted plant in the room..I agree...I am going to look for a nice plant to put in there. :up: The green does look good, as you can see. :smile:
I found the vases at garage sales years ago. I barely spent $1.00 on them. Don't you just love that?

The floor is in!

My dear hubby and his brother worked very hard to get this in yesterday. It still needs the edging to finish it off, but that'll be done in no time!
Now we need to start putting the IKEA furniture together.. :insane: :wink: :heart:

Does anyone actually 'like' painting?

I'll be honest...I really don't like painting. I would go as far as saying I pretty much hate it. :frown:
I put in about 10 hours of painting into our new bedroom. And for that I feel good, since I would have hated Peter to do all of it.
It was a nightmarish procedure since the first 3 coats were a flop! That's not counting the first coat of primer. :right:
There was something seriously wrong with the paint. So we got our money back...but we couldn't get the hours back that we wasted. :frown: :irked:
Anyhow..we bought better paint with our refund..and painted another almost 3 coats! (I did that)
Then yesterday and the day before, I worked on the white parts. The door, frames, window & shelves. It took about 5 hours in total.

It's pretty much all done, except for the new edging we bought...but that'll be easy. Hopefully the new flooring will be put down on Saturday. Peter's brother is coming over to help him. He is quite good with stuff like that. :up:

Anyhow...have an awesome day...I am baking today...NO PAINTING!! :lol: :heart:

We have finally begun painting!
And yesterday, Peter brought home a sample of the 'click flooring'(fake/affordable wood flooring). I would say it's going to look great when all done! :up:

Coming out of the closet...

Well, as promised in the post below, I took a couple of pics of the new closet in its humble beginnings.
Peter was so excited about it, he put the door up for a bit to see how it would fit. As you can see, it is a perfect fit! :yes:

I feel as if I contributed as I helped put up that wall! :D
One step closer! :heart:

Here are some pics that I took of my new 'computer home'. Keep in mind, this house is over 100 years old. Eventually this area will be painted too. After the bedroom is completed, my husband is going to build a proper computer desk to fit in this little area. :happy:
