Oh what a beautiful morning...

What a gorgeous mild day.
There is a light dusting of snow falling...and the sky was a lovely shade of peachy/pink with the sun trying to peek through this morning.
I had so much to get started on this morning (cake to do)...but I ran outside with my camera nonetheless.
I posted the pics in my Walking in an Ontario Winter Wonderland album.
We finally got some snow and cold weather to keep the snow on the ground -this week. It was actually too cold. We hit temps of -28 degrees celcius..approx -15 Farenheit. Brrrrrr...2 fires were lit at all times!
But this morning it is beautiful..not cold at all.
Apparently the cold weather is supposed to hit again this week-end. UGH.I even washed my patio window so I could hang my bird feeder close to it, and snap some shots as soon as they get brave enough to come close.
I made some nice homemade suet for my birdy friends, out of left over bacon fat...and bird seed..I even threw in an egg for added protein.
Yesterday I spent the entire afternoon baking scones for the first time ever! (mostly for an order for church..but I baked enough for us too.). They turned out great...and were delicious! I made Herb & Cheddar, Orange-Cranberry and SourCream. These are dangerous for me because I love stuff like that. I am super-controlled with the cakes & icing..but with the bread-like products...ooooh boy..keep em away!
Also, on a special note...it's my dad's birthday today!
We are going to celebrate with him tomorrow. Happy Birthday Dad!
