Yep I admit they are a mixed bunch. some are vacational style, a lot of lowlight photography and some macros too...

Around the Northern Atlantic.

Well this album holds the pictures from my trip around the Northern Atlantic.

It has been a business travel to the following destinations:
Washington DC, New York City, London and Copenhagen as I am living in Nuuk the circle is completed and thus the name.

It holds a wide wariety of pictures, from street photograps to birdy shots (yet even got a few of those), some slightly landscape orientated pictures and a few close ups and more.

Only relation between the pictures is that they have been taken in that little sparetime between my meetings and travels.

I will continue to upload as I get the post processing done.

Greenlandic Winter Pictures

This album is a sequel to the Nuuk Autumn Pictures Album...

If the wonderful idea about the APN is continued with a WPN is rather uncertain... I will and this is to be seen as my tribute to winter, a season that Greenland has taught me to love and cherish.

Virgin Ice

It is common knowledge, at last up here, that ice breaks of the glaciers from the Ice Cap and into the fiords. The largest pieces are know as Icebergs and can be truely huge in size, large enough wreak a large freight cruiser without notising it.
The glaciers near Nuuk (75-80 km up the fiords) are not large enough to produce real Icebergs, they produce what in Danish is called "isskosser" my best translation would be "ice flakes". Ice flakes are as the name reveals flakes of ice broken of the glaciers, normally cluttering up in the bottom of the fiords. In rare incidents, During storms from a certain direction combined with the right water currents will make the float towards the open sea filling the fiords with these white and blueish flakes. as it is during storm a huge part of these will be blown on shore creating a dream like landscape.

Last night were such a night, this album contains my pictures from the walk in this dram like landscape a late afternoon.

It were an amazing almost alien experience walking among these iceflakes at the shore.

Why is the album called Virgin ice then? well the ice is anything but virgin actually it is pretty old, but it is the first time it travels out the fiords and it were my virgin experience picturing it.

Nuuk from a foreigner's point of view

Well this is a photo project in working progress, meaning that I will continue to update this album as time and opportunity permits me to shoot pictures that in my opinion gives a visual picture of what Nuuk looks like.

I am a foreigner up here, why the album not necessarily represents the full or true picture. It does however include the visual impressions that I find characteristic and representative.

So far it has been a great pleasure for me shooting the pictures for this album and I am looking forward to work on the project:)

I hope you will enjoy wattching these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them:)
Nuuk Autumn Pictures

Well this album is my humble contribution to the rapidly growing Autmn Picture Network (APN), Autumn in Nuuk is not that evident due to the lack of flora, or so it appeared to me at least.
Until the day where I put on my hiking boots, grabbed my camera and went on a quest for the Greenlandic fall in the Nuuk area.
What an eye opener:) Actually Fall is far more evident than I belived, it is all around us, one just have to adjust to the fact that it does not show it self in the same way as further to the south:)
This album is intially a product of my four hours hike today, but fear not more will be added soon:)

I hope you like the pictures, cause I had a wonderful time taking them.
Monochrome

I have begun experimenting with monochrome pictures.
Thanks to Ricewood (Allan) for the Inspiration.

I got to admit that Ricewood is right, it does put a lot more focus on the mood and expression of the one being Portrayed.

The Portrait motive so far is Malene, the woman in (and love of) my life:love:

When it comes to Landscapes, then I have a lot more experiementing to do before saying anything anything about the effect, there is a few here though.

This album will be updated regularly.
