It is "sermitsiak" the trademark of Nuuk. It is a mountain lying a short boat trip from Nuuk and one of the two peaks I have scheduled for next year. There is a glacier on the northern side of it, not visible from Nuuk.
It is visible from more or less all over Nuuk and you have seen numerous of pictures of it from different angles, this one really shows the size of it though. One of the amazing things about living here is that one gets a very firm feeling of being very tiny in a huge and powerful nature.
Your opinion may be humble, but it is greatly valued by me:)
Very nice shot, there is nothing prettier than a rising or setting sun against a mountain, "a painting by a master". I also liked the picture of the partial reflection of the red structure, you do nice work. Sam
Thank you for your kind compliments... I am gald you like my photos. I think this is your first comment at my blog, so a warm welcome to my humble OC home and thank you for commenting.

What a stark contrast, nature versus human habitation, huge versus little.
Excellent shot in my humble opinion!

Thanks for that nice compliment.
Yeah, it is kind of unique. the name "sermitsiak" actually means the Saddle:)
Not that the name makes any sense to me though:D
Thanks again:)
