It appears to me that everything in Nuuk is "stark". Stark beauty; Stark color; Stark contrast... and maybe even Stark loneliness. It is beautiful and exhilarating to view these rugged scenes from 'HERE', but to actually live your entire life 'THERE' twelve months a year... It would require a whole different mindset! Thank you for sharing your world with us through your photography! It really causes one to "think" and I believe 'THAT' is the excellent connection between photographs and humans. Thank you for this virtual excursion!
Thank you RonRay. Nuuk and Greenland is in many ways stark and living here does require a deifferent mindset.
I have done so for close to 2 years and it has changed my life, made me see things in a different light.
Thank you for your kind compliments and for liking my photos:happy:

Hi & thanks for all the lovely photos you have taken the time in uploading.
I liken Greenland to Ireland a lot, just without the trees. Especially where I am in rugged Donegal. Lots of mountains & coast lines. I must say, i wish our architects where as colourful as the ones in greenland. They remind me of the lego houses I used to build as a child.
You're truley lucky to live in such a magical place - gods own land.
I think you are right in many ways... the part about the lack of trees really is a big part of what makes this area so beautiful, it seems almost unreal to me... I feel wery lucky too and I am rather thankful for having been given the chance to live.
Thank you for looking through and complimenting my photos. both the compliments and the gesture is highly appreciated.
