Finally an update
Monday, December 11, 2006 3:03:57 AM
HI All,
Well finally another Duploworld update, I have simply been too busy to make those frequent updates, I am still inside the "promised" biweekly update limit though:D
Well returning from Prague has been a busy thing, but as i told a friend asking how I did;
"I am alive..." and that is about as good as it gets right now.
I practically stepped into my new position on tuesday morning and well not much to say about it. It is a new job and a whole new set of challenges that I indeed am looking forward to.
Well as mentioned a few times in comments, We have had more snow and all day today and even now late in the evening snow are falling, those huge and wonderful Christmas snowflakes... soo lovely...
I even brought my camera to get a few shots of it, but when taking the first shot the camera gave me an odd red symbol during the preview telling me that the memorycard were resting in the cardreader at home:doh: and I did not bring a spare one either:cry:
Well to make up for it I have this panorama. Taken Saturday at 1400 hrs, my fiancée looked at it a moment ago and said;
"It is the best I have seen of Sermitsiak from your hand yet" I am not sure I agree, but what I can tell is that it shows off the size of sermitsiak better than any picture I have taken before.
I hope you like it.
(Click the picture and click it again to see it in the right perspective)
What else? well I have been struggling setting up my new "Homepage", a site dedicated to my pictures. Not sure they have the standard for it, but I thought it were about time to take a more organised approach to displaying my pictures. It is picturewise not fully updated yet, but enough to announce its existence to you all.
This comming week will be VERY busy, but I will do my best to bring you an update again around wednesday or so.
Saturday is the day for our annual Christmas party at work. It is going to be loads of fun I think:cheers:

I will most likely invite my employees over for a round of drinks before the party, but we have to see about that.
Anyhow I think this is about it for now...
Do take care you all:) ohh.... and Merry Christmas:)
Thomas

I think the perspective is emphazised by the shadows. Good looking!
And Thomas, don´t worry. Your photos would be good enough to suit any homepage

I was one of those in the past who took a load of shots before finding that I had forgotten to load a film but this is the first I have heard of forgetting to load a memory card
Bad luck my freind and I hope you did not miss out on any gems

Again Thanks for the nice compliments, I were hiking for almost an hour and sat there for another 35 minutes to get it as I wanted it... quite a struggle for just 1 panorama.
But worth it too:)

Well to be honest, I asked my fiancée to take it with her when she walked to town to meet me, Called her from the gym, not that it makes a difference... but lesson learned i assure you.
I am the first one I know of to make the trick as well... not exactly something to be proud of...
Lost at least two special moments in terms of Light and composition:( but others will appear:)

I imagine you're a very good host. Everything just right! Just make sure you've got the right food, and people will be happy.

I do not expect this one to be, at least not on my part... I got miss Duplo at home you know...
Thanks for your kind comments on my hosting skills... well I believe for this specific event the right drinks will be the major concern of the guests:D:D
Anyway I think it is going to be fun:)

Great image
Nice website, however - don't you think there are options out there where you don't have to pay?
Marry Christmas to you as well

Thank you, I like it a lot too when the sun is low on the horizon too and to be honest it is all we get up here at the moment.
I think there are other options, but these uption will not give me unlimited storage space:D
Plus the interface behind it is pretty nice to work with:)

Also your homepage looks good; I wish, you will be successful with it.
Thomas Bojer EltorpDuplo # Tuesday, December 12, 2006 1:27:22 PM
thank you for your very kind comment and compliment.
I am glad you like both the picture and the page...
Just have had some people asking for where to see my pictures lately... and it is a more clean way to present them I think.
Take care:)

Loved the northern lights. Haven't seen those in ages. (To say nothing of the sky, feckin' rain
Thomas Bojer EltorpDuplo # Friday, December 15, 2006 12:55:49 PM
Well all of Ireland has a lot of rain as I recall it from my visits... can you see northern lights from there?

Thanks for reminding me... not sure what i have been thinking when posting that question:D
Uncle MickMickeyjoe-Irl # Friday, December 15, 2006 9:03:44 PM
As far as I an tell, I'm still pretty close to the same latitude. And I've been wracking my brain to try and remember if I have seen the northern lights here. I must ask a local if we do get them.
