That post with the outdoor portrait picture that I promised you all?
Well here it is...
that said...
Hi All:) and welcome to the Duploworld update:)
This is not the formal weekly update, but an update on an event that made me realise an important thing about what is without a doubt a huge passion in my life.
In fact I can think of only one that is bigger and that is my love to Miss Duplo:heart:
I guess you have most likely figured out already that I am still talking photography:D
Now what was so special about this very event, well to put it simple:
It involved not only three, but four of the most important things in my life, Love (miss Duplo), family (represented by my father), the outdoors (in this case the amazingly beautiful Greenlandic nature) and lastly photography.
What makes it even more special is that I have the opportunity to show you what it looked like when I had this special moment.
My father captured it for me and here you are, a very special moment in my life.
me taking an outdoor portrait of the girl in my life:

I am not sure why this moment was so special to me, but the moment is somehow burned into my mind as something special.
Did the picture work out alright?
Well I took a number of photos there, but this one is my favourite:
There is others HERE, HERE and HERE.
finally I have come to realise that I have so many pictures yet to share with you all. why starting on sunday, I will be posting a picture every day for at least a few weeks... and there is a lot of good pictures to come I think.
Take care you all and thank you for reading.
Thomas

I know about these special moments. Sometimes it´s hard to tell why this or that moment is carved into the brain - maybe a certain feeing, something special just been said - or simply pure magic?
The backdrop of the portrait is probably the best one could wish for. Rock, sky and snow in crystal clear air. But crystal clear air gives deep and accenturated shadows - could I suggest a softed fill-flash? I reckon that would make a great portrait even better.
Looking forward to your future photography
P.S - when I make photos, I also forget all about how my cap sits on my head

Nice portraits and wonderful scenery. The feeling I get from Greenland is that you don't have to go far to be on your own. It's a bit like the north of Scotland I guess, although I've not found time to visit Greenland yet.

Thank you:)
Yeah I do really love her:heart:

I guess that is part of what is wonderful about them... that the moments are just there and not easily explained or understood.
Thank you for the suggestion as well... If you look at the first two pictures linked to below the picture in the post (HERE and HERE) they are taken with fill flash...
I kind of liked the stronger shadows in this one, but perhaps they are too strong... it is hard to say for me...
I am indeed looking forward to share it with you:happy:
:lol:when taking photos there is only one way to wear it and that is out of the way;)
BTW received a letter from you today:)

WEll your feeling is right, a short walk and you are in an area where there is only you and mother nature... that is part of what I love about it... the solitude.
I have not been to the northern part of Scotland, but you might be right.
Ohh and you are welcome up here any day:)

PS:
Your photos are a bit more spring-like now, because the parka is changed to a sweat jacket.
