Duplo's blog

- Just another blog on the internet -

And I heard someone say...

, , , , , ,

...That overcast weather is not good for taking pictures...

Hi All,

Yep one more of those Duploworld updates... And yet again it is to make way for a couple of Spring pictures before the Summer Photo Network launches on June first.

These two are from the peak of " Lille Malene"...

One of my favourite motives (yes Miss Duplo is still number 1:D)

Some distant peaks...

We had a wonderful light on this evening, I like the light a lot not as powerfull or magic as the sunsets, but soft and very nice I think.

Well that is it...

Thanks for looking (again:D) and do take care:)

Thomas

Whoever said that was obviously not true.

I like the way the lamdscape transforms from sharper and more contrasted to misty and soft from foreground to bakground.

Beautiful....smile
Dont you get cold everyday taking pictures??

I think overcast is preferable sometimes as it's easier to control the bright sky without any ND grads (which I don't have yet). Much easier for outside portraits and macro too.

Not entirely at least. To me the most intriguing landscapes are shot when most people would prefer to stay indoor...

Thank you Allan, exactly what attracted me to the scenes.

Thak you Ulie.

Well not these days, but go a month back and there you have it... a month ago it was rather cold... but it all comes down to what you wear.

My winter gear is usually skiing underwear, polar fleece shirt, Goretex skiing pants and a Northface goretex expedition long jacket.

if really cold then add a pair of thermo socks and a pair of sorell polar boots and two sets of gloves one for when not taking pictures and one for when taking pictures.

An outfit like that allows you to be outside in pretty low temperatures for a fair amount of time...bigsmilebigsmile

From a convenience point of view I do agree with you...
And most certainly from a mood perspective too...

But that is the beauty about weather it is both a challenge and a blessing:)
