A beautiful world....

Hi All,
Duploworld has been silent for almost two weeks and I know that it is anything but common. Anyway, finally a new Duploworld update is here:)
And I have so many news from the last two weeks, that I will break it down into several posts.
First up however is what I think made the biggest impression on me during the last two weeks. I met a truly gifted photographer that showed me a truly bueatiful part of Denmark. A place to which I will return as soon as I can find the time.
Now well who is he?
Well here is a picture of the guy as I guess most of us expect to find him:
Click the picture to reveal his identity)
I actually did take a picture of the guy lying flat on his back aiming his camera in a more than odd direction, but unfortunately it turned out really bad, it suffered from camera shake, bad focus and was largely overexposed (guess that is what happens when yoy forget to turn the camera from manual mode and manual focus to autofocus and Aperture priority:doh: before using it as if these things was turned on) so the above and this one will have to do:
We had an amazing walk through "Mols Bjerge National Park", it was perhaps more talking than taking pictures. Both on aspects of photography and on anything else.
I had a wonderful afternoon and well I can tell you two things for sure.
1. he is a VERY tallented guy with an eye for composition most of us could only dream of having.
2. he makes for a wonderful guide in one of the most beautiful parts of Denmark I have seen.
Thank you Allan, for your kind hospitality and a wonderful afternoon.
Now what better way to honour our afternoon than by sharing a few of the photos that I did manage to take while catching my breath from all the talking:)
Dead tree view:
lonely bush:
a walking path view:
These and a few more are the beginning of a "Danish Summer Photos" album that I will be completing over the next week or so.
Now what else to expect in the near future?
Well I have a round of night shots from Tivoli, street shots from Copenhagen and perhaps the most obvious post ever comming up, so do check back soon:)
Thanks for looking and do take care:)
Thomas

Well, Thomas. I think you´re talking a walk on the wild side here
Thanks anyway - and you know you´re welcome anytime.
And the most obvious post ever coming up. Hmm - not necessarily obvious to me - looking forward to see what that´s all about

We met through Opera. We have previously talked about that national park - and when Thomas announced on his blog that he would spend some time in Aarhus, my home town, I decided to make him an invitation.
And about the Blogmusik-thingy - you´re welcome. I got it from somewhere else and just use it, so there´s really no reason to thank me for that

Well here goes:
******************
@Artman:
Thank you for liking both the pictures and the read:happy:
And welcome to this blog of mine.
I am sure you will some day and I will be looking forward to read about it.
Had a quick look at your blog, I will take a deeper look when time permits, you seems to have a lot of interesting stuff there.
******************
@Ali:
I think Allan answered that question pretty well.
******************
@Allan:
It sure is Allan, I am more than happy to host.
******************
@hungry and mickey J:
We had a splendid time indeed (I dare answering for both of us:D)
And well personally I would have no problem taking pictures of a hungry ghost eating something:D:D
Ireland seems like a good spot or why not make the gathering in Greenland, afterall it is half way:D:D
******************
@Yooper:
I think hills are the correct term Yooper:D
Even though compared to how flat a country denmark is they might qualify for mountains:D
******************
@Ulie:
Thank you, I am glad you do:happy:
******************
@Sandy:
Thank you:happy:
Meeting others rom OC is great.
Allan was my second meetup, Joined Yooper for dinner in Copenhagen a while back.
And yeah I would definitely do it again:)
Thnk you so much for all your cheerful comments all, I appreciate them a lot:)

It's a deal. You talk Sanshan into bringing her waffle iron there and I'll eat for the photos
Mickey - you got anymore pancake mix left?

I never was in doubt for that!
Nice post, Thomas. Thanks for that update. Seems you had a wonderful time.

No mountains - but in the most parts of DK it´s nothing but low hills. You won´t know when driving in a car. I realise that there are far higher hills and mountains other places - but lowland still doesn´t equal flatland

@Elke:
Thank you:happy:
Yep he is pretty talented guy, but as you said, you all know that already:)
It was an amazing afternoon for sure:up:
************************************
@Yooper:
It is called "Mols Bjerge National Park" and an amazing place just outside Aarhus. I think I will let Allan fill in the blanks on the place, he knows a lot more about it than I do.
Allanricewood # Monday, July 23, 2007 5:57:31 PM
This link will show you the area on Google Maps - explore from there.

Or you can pm me and tell me when you´re near Aarhus - and I will be happy to show you around - if it´s possible at that time.

The state that I live in - Michigan - is a bit like Denmark in that regard. Except we're surrounded by the Great Lakes!

I'm sure your afternoon was very interesting. The OC is really a nice community full of great of people, it's wonderful when we can transgress the virtual aspect of it. I'm glad for both of you
Thomas Bojer EltorpDuplo # Friday, July 27, 2007 3:01:26 AM
It was a very interesting afternoon indeed.
It was kind of fun to move our virtual Oc into the real world for a change.
scott cummingIArtMan # Monday, July 30, 2007 4:00:34 AM
somebody has to pay for it and someone has to do the work.
the whole united states is in an infrastructure crisis. the states that face the truth will be the better for it. and the states which cannot control the graft of government will be swamped with disaster after disaster; until they get hip.
Thomas Bojer EltorpDuplo # Monday, July 30, 2007 1:11:25 PM
Guess that goes for the entire western world, in various degrees that is.
Never been to detroit I think but hopefully they will succeed "face-lifting" the city.
