Duplo in Legoland
Monday, August 6, 2007 7:56:53 PM
Hi All,
Well I am sure this must have been the least surprising post ever:D
Anyway in this update Duploworld has moved to Legoland:D
And yeah it is another update from my visit to Denmark this July.
Well to set the scene (kind of) and to prove that we were there, is a picture of me with the local legoland pro photographer (Taken by Miss Duplo):
And to those of you that do not know what legoland also is about…
Well I have uploaded quite a few pictures to the "Danish Summer photos" album from our visit there, to give you a feel of it.
Said in brief Legoland is located in Billund in Denmark and it is a true wonderland for kids and childish souls alike.
What to me, without a doubt, is the most impressive part is not the amusements, the rollercoaster rides or anything like that.
No it is a place called "Miniland". It features miniature copies from a variety of places all over the world, all build ground up in Lego:eyes: But not only that, they have put an impressive amount of work into the details.
Well if you get the chance to pop by Legoland, do it... "miniland" is worth it alone.
Anyway, just to give you an idea, here are a few photos from "miniland":
A traditional Japanese house:
A Legoville street view:

A Lego copy of "Amalienborg" home of the Royal Danish Family:
We had a wonderful afternoon in there.
I will be back with a news update and reading up on blogs later this week.
Thanks for looking and do take care:)
Thomas

I think it should be a mandatory gift for every child. It is for all my little cousins.
And I still get my brother a set every X-mas.
