News, news, news, a 365 project andsome news...

, , , , ,

Hi All,

Welcome to a Duploworld update full ofnews about what is going on in my life lately.

Well of with the news and some good ones even.

Not long ago I began submitting a few photos to SpaceWeather.com and this Sunday I was in for a very pleasant Surprise one of my photos made the front page of Spaceweather:happy:
This photo and one more from the night is in my "Greenlandic Autumn Photos" Album.

A package arrived at my desk at office today...
Well what was in it you may ask, well here is what was in it:

A pro grade 24mm prime from Pentax. I have the Manual focus version as well, but they will be sued for different applications.

well a good week from now I will be on a plane again, trip this time includes Copenhagen, London and New York City... all work, all meetings... but hopefully I will get time to seeze off a photo or two:)

A 365 project has been started, well actually it has been running for the last year, as I do spend time on photography every day. However to make it a real photo project I felt the need to come up with a theme for the project. So without further ado I give you the beginning of:
The Holga 120 - 365 project

As photography is already a part of my daily life, I needed something else to define this project, why the Key to the project is two compact, but surpricingly powerful Holga 120 flashguns (guidenumber 12 @ ISO 100). they will be used for every photo. As they have no manual or automatic power controls, various attachments as diffusers or sheer distance is the only way to control the light.

Subject matter will vary, but above mentioned holgas must be used for every photo.

I think that is about it for now.

Thanks for looking and do take care:)

Thomas

Great news, but not that surprising really. bigsmile

Space weather says that the aurora should be very good on Friday night. I hope you'll be out.

Thank you Louis:happy:

I am actually enjoying that project quite a lot... creative lightning with two such old and inflexible flash guns is soo much fun:D
