Hong Kong...

Well All,

Finally an update from me on my trip to Hong Kong... It has been an absolutely amazing trip and currently I am passing by Tibet or something, on my way home....

Let me put it this way I have never experienced a city like Hong Kong, people might say that it is just another Metropolis, butt they are wrong, all wrong, I have been to quite a few, but never a city with a diversity like Hong Kong in terms of culture, approach to life and above all acceptance (I might be wrong here, but I felt very welcome where ever I went (a little too welcome somewhere, but more on that topic later:D)

The drive from the airport were amazing, it is a 45 minute drive, and crossing the bridges and approaching the skyline from ground level is an amazing view.
What to me makes Hong Kong different from many other cities is that the skyline seems to be planned and designed to make each building unique and they have succeeded. It is not just a skyscraper it is often a work of art.

I have as I usually do when coming to a place like this often been eating dinner in a place where most Europeans would back off, I am not sure what I have been eating every night, but it has been fun:D
I have been touring Nathan road well I guess it is the one know for its night shopping and it is amazing to experience a city that truly never sleeps.
I have been to the peak where the first picture has been taken... another amazing place. People might not know but there is actually a pretty dense jungle or something right outside Hong Kong. and the tram ride up there were amazing as well.
I have toured most of Soho today as well, a fun experience, especially the skywalks i were walking from the easternmost part of soho to the Pacific plaza basically using airwalks all the way.
I have been chilling a few hours by the pool ( really great. Been in some oriental mall , in Wan chai, quite a strange place actually, but I had to go, Never know when the chance will reappear ohh and not to mention shot a few hoops with some local Chinese folks..
I have shared a lunch table (AND LUNCH TABLE ONLY!) with what turned out to be two Pilipino street hookers in a very spooky micro sized dinner.... the food were great though...
And though tough to listen to it did provide me the opportunity to hear about life in Hong Kong from some of the inhabitants living in the shadows, in case anyone were doubting it Hong Kong is not all successes and sunshine (surprise;))

The worst part about Hong Kong though is the Money, One might say that it is all about money in the west (Europe, US, etc.) but to my mind it is even more true about Hong Kong... Absolutely everything got a pricetag and if it is possible to make money on something, then they are going to have some doing it..

Ohh yeah.. the loonies are driving in the wrong side of the street... :hehe:I thought one had to be British to be foolish enough to do that:lol: Nice cars though.

Work-wise it were a great conference too, got what I came for and have collected a lot of exciting information to work on.

Anyway... I will continue later, right now it is sleeping time on board and I am tired:D
Sleep tight you all and do take care:D
