Hi All,
I do hope that you all have had a great week?
The time for another update from Duplo World has arised:) An update full of surprises I must say.
The week it self has not been overly exciting it has actually been fairly routine, which is not bad, sometimes routine is good.
The routine gave me the time to share some of the things with you, that I find amusing up here, take the sign below:

It is situated in the airport in Kangerlussuaq (our main international hub) I really like this sign, It kind of reminds me how far north I am living:)
Anyway, Friday our routines were sent to the ground. Malene's Grand Parents came t visit us, all the way from Copenhagen and they are going to be up here until Saturday morning.
Anyway the four of us spend the afternoon Friday on a walk about in Nuuk and planning the rest of their week.
Saturday morning we headed out as far one can drive, ending up in a part of Nuuk called Ringorput, from here we started walking towards a lake called Lake Circus, the lake is frozen during winter and feed by melting snow from the mountains during summer.
It was not a rough walk, but Malene's Grandfather is 80 years old and he actually made the walk, quite impressive for an 80 year old, as it was a rock and stone trail all the way up there.
It were an amazing lake though, situated between the two mountains "Lille Malene" and Store Malene", just look at this picture:)
The rest of the pictures is in the Photo Section of my blog, they are really amazing
Sunday we invited a friend of ours (Helle) over for brunch and to let Malene's Grand Parents meet a least on of our friends.
After a great brunch we drove off towards the foot of "Lille Malene" we wanted t show the 3 of them (Malene's Grand Parents and Helle) the Peak. It were kind of a test too, the trip up there is steep and rather rocky. It were a great trip. Bent and Grethe (Malene's Grand Parents) only made it half way, but hey Bent is 80 years old and made it half way, I were deeply impressed by him and look how much he enjoyed it:
I am deeply impressed by both of them, they might be old, but one does not really notise. They are so full of energy and so eager to see more of the world.
They have truely earned my respect and I do appreciate them a lot.
Helle and I were the only two who made it to the top, we did have a fun trip thoug just look at the pictures in the photo album of my blog, they are something else.
On our way to the car, we met the only 3 sled dogs I have seen or heard of below the polar circle, they are here on a special permit. One thing I did found out is that they are quite scary in real life, especially the eyes of the one below looked real scary:yikes:
Anyway I have had an amazing weekend and the next one looks good too...
Do take care you all and do not forget to check out the pictures I have uploaded:)
