Hi all,
Duploworld has gone blogging crazy some would say and yes it might would make sense preserving some of the energy and then use it to make these updates more regular, but predictable is boring, so here is another one:)
Me longing for the winter, would make people who have known me for a long time say:
And yes maybe I have, but anyhow I am longing for the winter to come.
This time it were triggered by going through some pictures I shot on a flight to Kangerlussuaq this winter.
It was one of those special flights. Passing low over the ice cap in a crisp almost white morning sky.
I guess what I miss the most is the beauty of Greenland covered in snow. Well Nuuk covered in sow that is, it is only a small strip on the south and west coast of Greenland that is not covered in snow during summer.
I may be beautiful in summer, but winter is what makes the difference, Nuuk is transformed from a desert of Rock and water to a powder covered dreamland. All of the sudden it all glows in a totally different dreamlike way.
That I do miss. The many hours of fun on my board is naturally a wonderful side effect, but the powderland glow is what truly makes the difference.
