HI All,
Time for a Duploworld update.
Copenhagen were great, wonderful weather lots of time with my family and a good and useful meeting. What more to ask for?
However today has really been a day where I have experienced it all, it started out boring and sad.
Because today were the day where I left Copenhagen again. The goodbye to my familiy were a tough one as usual, it is not getting easier, but it has become a familiar feeling.
It has been a day of travel, first from Copenhagen to Kangerlusssuaq, I am fairly used to air travel, but it is transport and a matter of getting from A to B, it is a boring and necessary thing to do, but the flight itself is not something I find amusing, however the excellent service made this flight more seemless and pleasant (but not less boring) than usual.
Upon arrival in Kangerlussuaq I got my first suprice, snow has fallen on the upper part of the motains/hills up there a beautiful sight:) Got a few decent pictures as well. Next stop were Maniitsoq a small village know for its heliskiing. very beautiful pace, but only a breif stopover. then on to the flight to Nuuk and finally home. One good thing though is that the peak of "Store Malene" is already covered in snow:D
Pitures from the trip can be found HERE
Well upon arrival at home the day cahnges completly to joy and fun:yes:
My new camera had arrived.
Put the pieces together and headed straight out into the evening sun to test shoot it. It were a real pleasure to work with a "real" camera, it feels surprisingly solid and steady. The evening sun were amazing though a bit too clouded at times.
The conclussion, well I have included 3 sample photographs, but the truth is that it is clean crisp and seemed to have a far larger dynamic range. and it really handles like a dream. the below shots would not have been possible with my old camera.
The first would have been all dar and a bit of snow in top, thw second and third would have been either to dark in large parts of the inae or suffer from an over exposured sky.
The proof, snow at the peak of Store Malene:

A view to the east:

A view towards the south-east from Nuuk:

Well time to go to bed, I have been awake for 22 hrs and now I am getting tired indeed.
Do take care you all:)
Thomas
