No more spring pictures...

, , , ...

Hi All,

This Duploworld update holds the last three pictures in the "Greenlandic Spring Pictures" album and while we have not really had spring yet, then I will start posting to the "Summer Photo Network" album from tomorrow.

but well on to the two pictures:

Urban Spring (a photo taken in central Nuuk):

Soft Light (A cloudy sunset that I really like):

Dirty Spring (a picture from my Global Warming project):

And finally an extra picture that I really came across when talking about how clean high ISO images can be when exposured correctly... an unusual perspective...

Looking up (a macro shot froma good while back):

That is it for now, do stay tuned for the first summer pictures, comming up over the weekend.

Take care you all:)

Thomas

Lonely ship...

, , , ...

Hi All,

Only two more days to go,well actually one.
Why this Duploworld update is a single picture that fore some reason never made it to the blog.

This picture was taken a little while back, walking on the ridge along the atlantic harbour I looked down towards the water, grabbed the camera and out came this:

Well Thursday I will post the last round of pictures in my spring collection and from friday or saturday the summer album will be the main album on this blog.

Thanks for looking all and do take care:)

Thomas

And I heard someone say...

, , , ...

...That overcast weather is not good for taking pictures...

Hi All,

Yep one more of those Duploworld updates... And yet again it is to make way for a couple of Spring pictures before the Summer Photo Network launches on June first.

These two are from the peak of " Lille Malene"...

One of my favourite motives (yes Miss Duplo is still number 1:D)

Some distant peaks...

We had a wonderful light on this evening, I like the light a lot not as powerfull or magic as the sunsets, but soft and very nice I think.

Well that is it...

Thanks for looking (again:D) and do take care:)

Spring pictures Update...

, , , ...

Hi all,

Another Duploworld update and again to get some of the Spring pictures posted before June 1st:smile:

Three pictures in this one and while good, not entirely up to standard of the first picture in the last post...
Yet still what I consider photos of fairly good quality. that is really the problem, you know... posting pictures after pictures as THIS...

Anyway, first off is a Greenlandic beach:

Second off is well... I do not know what to call such a bunch of stones, it is called a "Varde" in danish:

Third off is a different view of picture 2:

Thanks for looking and do take care:)

Greenlandic Midnight sunset...

, , , ...

Hi All,

Well in order to round up my stock of Spring pictures before June 1st, this Duploworld update will be with 3 pictures.
All taken last night around midnight where the sunset is at its strongest before transitioning into sunrise a couplo of hours later....

Now if any of you have ever wondered why I think the nature up here is among some of the most amazing I have ever seen, well here is why:

and two more taken around the same time but in a different direction...
(click to see full version - You will not be disappointed:D)

Thanks for watching and do take care:)

What a week... phew...lol

, , ,

HI All,

Yep, all new duploworld update, fresh off my keyboard:)

What a week it has been... one of the funniest I have had for quite some time... Ohh and the usual apology to all of you on a slow connection... I have quite a few pictures in this post too:D

Work is the usual stuff, not much to say about it and why waste space here on that:D
Tuesday is when it all started, my Dad arived from Denmark to visit us, it was great seeing him again and well thanks to him we have done a lot of fun stuff around here.
Took him for a late evening walk around Nuuk, finally being able to show him how and where we actually lives has been great.
Here is a picture of him, taken at the peak of "Lille Malene":

Wednesday we went to some friends house... weather was great and we spend the entire evening outside on their balcony... I think he had a good time the old man... and even better I think our friends up here survived meeting him too:lol:
No pictures from this eening though... still awaiting permission to post a few of them.

Thursday has been one of the funniest days this year. We took another hike to the peak of "Lille Malene".. and well here we are, all three of us, sitting on the peak:

Well got this cutie picture on the way up too:

There is a quite a few more from the trip in the "Greenlandic Spring Pictures" album.
What have really made this week however is how we got down again...
and well no words can really explain, but I can promise you that it was fast... really fast... and fun:D here you are.. a few pictures explaining it:

Well that is it from me...
I have a few more pictures from the day, but I will save those for tomorrow.

Take care you all:)

Thomas
