Imagine if you can, going cold turkey on conventional QWERTY setup keyboards and going to a keyboard that looks like this:

This morning for fun/ a challenge I decided to convert my PowerBook G4 to a Dvorak keyboard setup. I am going to give myself 2 weeks and at the end of those 2 weeks I will post another blog detailing my findings, opinions, and whether or not I'll be keeping it or going back to QWERTY.

The Dvorak method of laying out keys is nothing new, it was patented in 1936. Here is the Wiki article about it: Clicky

My friend Ivy is an amazing artist. I asked (begged) her to paint me fighting zombies on teh bottom of my longboard skateboard. Check this shit out!!!! It's still a work in progress but I can't wait until its done...

I don't want to be friends any more. You were only fun when Snow came out to play too. You are a harsh terrible friend, and if Snow doesn't hang out anymore I see no point in you being around. I'll be hanging out with Spring when she comes back. She's much nicer than you. We go cruising with the windows down and listen to music real loud, I dont have to wear 4 coats when she's around, all kinds of fun stuff. Anyway I guess I'll see you next year but don't be surprised if I'm not happy about it.

Being as my 2007 was less than spectacular (as my last post can start to explain...) I've decided to make sure my 2008 at least tries to rock my socks off. What's a good way to start a new year? Get a big f**king tattoo! I've wanted a good tattoo for yyeeeeaaaarrrrsss. I have 2 alrady but they are less than spectacular. Through my R/C car hobby I met some really cool dudes that happen to be tattoo artists and this past saturday the 19th I got my sleeve started. The design is based off a drawing Neeecole drew and fell in love with. So far everyone loves it and I've been receiving compliments non stop. Even tonight at Macaroni Grill 2 strangers complimented me. So far it seems 2008 is gonna be ok. Once this heals and I save up a couple more hundred dollars I'm going to go back and have the inside of my arm done to match and complete my half-sleeve.

other cat threw up all over my room. AGAIN.

locked myself out of my apartment the other night

45 minutes to go 4 miles on my way to
work plus other fairly shitty commutes 99%
of the time

did REAL shitty at the rc rock crawling cometition i entered. sounds lame i know but it was important to me.

was sick with 2 seperate severe colds back to back and missed 2 weeks of work

basically ive been having some pretty shitty luck lately. from minorr annoyances to some fairly major stuff. there is other stuff that i dont really want to post and im probably forgetting but thats mostly the jist of things. i hope things start to turn around soon, i cant really deal with my bad luck too much longer.

Thursday pt. II

Monday, May 7th I saw teh coolest thing I've seen in years. I saw Thursday live. My friend Kristina who got me into Thursday and I went to the University of California in California, Pennsylvania where they played their last show of the year. It was a 4+ hour drive each way and totally worth it. There were a few other bands playing like 'The Number 12 Looks Like You', and a few others but by far Thursday rocked it the hardest. The highlight of the night was when they finished their set and left teh stage and everybody was clapping and chanting "ONE MORE SONG". After a bit they came back out and ended the night with the fucking most rocking performance of "Jet Black New Year". It gave me chills. It's a shame there are no more shows this year, I would go to every one of them.
