affirmative action
Measures implemented to correct previous instances
of discrimination.
Examples: 1. As part of our affirmative action, jobs are first offered to women. 2. Affirmative action is needed to uphold equal employment rights.

A measure of newspaper advertising space, one column wide and 1/14th inch deep.

The act of promoting a product forcefully and dynamically.

agglomeration
Consolidation of various unrelated activities or companies into a single entity.

AGM
"Annual general meeting": annual meeting at which company managers report the year's results to shareholders and a new board of directors is elected.

agreement
Verbal or formal written pledge between two or more parties to collaborate in some business activity.

Large-scale production, processing and marketing of food and other farm products.
