Ehh... I don't like Micheal Moore that much. I agree with him on some stuff but he's so viciouse to the U.S. Which I think is absolutly horrible. He rarely say anything nice about U.S. He just walks around complaining. I mean, I'm not saying he shouldn't complain. I just think he should balance it out a little and also show that he doesn't loath America with the very fiber of his being.

Hi Amy,

I see your point. Anyways, it's kind of entertaining and interesting, certainly for us in the old Europe. My personal opinion about the US is not too bad.

See you

Michael Moore should downsize his mouth, Elmar. No damage as long as you view it as quirky entertainment, and don't internalize his propaganda....:irked:

We have to know that Michael Moore is an coorporation himself with these movies and books.
USA has a benefit of a really big market, so one idea can quickly become a hit and the man behind it, a millionaire. In EU things go a lot slower because the market is devided by rather countries. I think that is one of the reasons we don't have such big social diffenrences (plus the social strategy in most of the countries, tradition and so on).

My opinion is this. He complains to much and he doesn't show any respect to where America has gotten too. You can not complain about a country if you do not respect somthing about that country- whether it be the people, the culture, the economy, the food, the whatever. If you don't respect anything about it than why do you care to improve it? Why don't you just move? Canada might have room for an idiot or two I bet....

I mean, I complain about my country. The president is a horrible public speaker. We've gotten into a pointless war. Min. Wage is to low. The list goes on. However, I still appricate America, because I respect how far we've gone and because of it, I hold the U.S. to a higher standard than say Africa, or any country for that matter. If somthing's not perfect, or not working, we need to fix it. But the thing is, the reason I complain is because I love America, and I love where it has gotten to and I want it to improve.

All Moore seems to do is hold absolute contempt for the U.S.

Recently I listened to this podcast called "Hollywood and the spread of Anti-Ameicanism". Moore was brought up a whole bunch of times. I don't blame him for people who don't like the U.S. but I do think he's an ass....

Hi Sorry but I don't know Michael Moore.......

E. Driver 10. April 2007, 15:14

Hello David, Nikio, Amy and Andrzej,

Let's hope I don't internalize the propaganda too much. Certainly he made a lot of money, he even won the Oscar.

But, all this doesn't necessarily mean that he is wrong with everything he says. I see that you identify with your country very much which is absolutely fine for me.

Last but not least, posting about Michael Moore I got some of the most interesting comments on my blog.

Thanks for your opinions

Elmar
