Signs of Autumn, by Larry

The leaves are turning red and gold

The farmers are reaping corn and beans

The days are mild the nights are cold

Signs of autumn are everywhere

Squirrels are filling up their cache

But some don't plan for winter fare

I don't worry I don't fret

I'll enjoy it while I can

Snows of winter are not here yet

I envy the mother bear so brave

Who eats 'til she's fat

And sleeps all winter in a hollow cave
