if you created the new account to have your name changed: this can be done by Opera Web-devs. There is an according thread in the Forum. I wanted to mention it just for the case you didn't know.

I saw that thread. At the time, I wanted to keep elcid73 *and* Eddie_Lopez. I just wanted the Eddie_Lopez to reflect that I was around for as long as elcid73 was.

Anyway- I felt the need for it since a good number of people have quoted from my site without taking the time to look at my "about" page and get my name. Instead they just go with the "elcid73 says..." which is not the best "self promotion" of my thoughts. So I just make it easy on everyone by making the new nick.

I didn't want to lose all my paths and such.... I'm not sure, are the paths/URL remapped/redirected somehow to the new nick?

I don't know how the paths/URLs could be dealt with. We'd need to ask the devs.
