Vintage gaming and whining about stuff

So another blog in English again... I was not the lack of inspiration that beholds me the last few weeks, but more the fact that life is to exciting at the moment.
The last few weeks I did very few computer related things except when I was of course not at school or busy for school. I couldn't find the motivation. Somehow my soul was completely drained from any form of inspiration,expression. Maybe it had something to do with this girl I met a few weeks ago.. I met her at Bevrijdingsfestival Zwolle. I was helping with the kindergarten team and I worked with her the whole day. When you work with somebody closely for a couple of hours/days there's always forming a bond between you and the person you're working with.
But now I am back full of energy and lots of stuff that i wanna do, for example making a new blog post.. Its almost summer-break, that means lots of stress and frustrated people.. Last Friday we had a leader meeting a my scouting group and you could certainly feel the stress some people had, including myself. We ended the meeting prematurely because we where shouting and accusing each other of things. My guess is that is has to do with the time of the year. As I stated earlier, most people need to finish school stuff and working people see deadlines closing in on them.
Now its Sunday and everything is quiet. I am playing metal gear 2 on my xbox right now.. No not the 3d metal gear but the old school MSX version. The game feels 1000 times tenser and spookier then the new metal gear. Sometimes 3d engines are a curse. Its a little bit sad that we always have to make games as realistic as possible.. Take games like Crysis or Farcry, those games are nothing more but showcases for their 3D engines. The story is really simplistic and the gameplay is mediocre. On the the other hand a game like Halo takes best from both worlds. But my opinion is that most games today are just like over produced movies. We've got the Technology and we got the nice sounds.. Why bother to make a nice story around it.. If it sells the we're happy. The Xbox is a nice example of that. I bought a used one on www.marktplaats.nl because you can run emulators on it and watch movies in all kinds of formats. No not for its great game collection.. The games on Xbox suck bigtime..
