Life with Linux pt. 1

There's two ways to get in the pool. One is to get in slowly while adjusting to the water. The other way is to jump right in, I jumped right in. My closer friends will tell you I've been fighting an uphill struggle against this operating system, and I think I've got it right finally. My computer doesn't crash any more like it used to, though it's still prone to when the memory gets overloaded. Now for my initial impressions.
Linux is fuckin hard. In windows everything was laid out for you. You had my computer whcih monitored all your stuff, you had the C drive with it's different preset folders to put everything. In linux there is only one default folder, and it's name is "/" pronounced "root". You have to make everything else.
Aside from that, linux has another problem, fuckin hippies make it. These hippies in particular are against anything not deemed free software. They loathe large corporations and are even against Opera. In my opininion opera has gained much traction because it doesn't have fuckin google or microsoft behind it, but that's another story. I hate hippies, but I love linux, god I'm torn. Also because of these hippies, mp3s, the most common music format, cannot be played within linux. Linux.
Next time I'll talk about productivity apps.
