PS3 Gran Turismo 5 Prologue line-up
Tuesday, March 11, 2008 9:00:30 PM
Sony has released the full line-up of vehicles which will be available to drive in the upcoming teaser Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.

Lavish new graphics for Gran Turismo 5
Essentially a demo version of the full game, players will be able to drive 71 cars in the new version, on six tracks, arranged in "two layouts", according to Sony.
The two formats, as you may have guessed, are backwards. And forwards.
No date has presently been scheduled for the release of the full game.

Console peripheral manufacturer Nyko has unveiled it DualShock 3 alternative for the PS3 - the Zero Wireless. It features all the things that make the DualShock 3 an infinitely superior alternative to the standard Sixaxis, i.e. vibration motors. And it bests the official controllers in terms of range, battery life, backlighting and sweaty-palm heat dissipation.
These are the features:
* Dual vibration motors for full rumble feedback in supported games
* Up to 25 hours of continuous play with removable, rechargeable, NiMH battery, complete with USB charge cable and optional battery compartment
* Reliable 2.4 GHz wireless technology for reliable and responsive range of up to 30 feet
* Equipped with a precise accelerometer that detects six different directions of motion
* Standard backlit LED buttons, precision analog sticks, durable buttons, and curved triggers
* Unique metal polymer hybrid design with heat-dissipating aluminum panels
All in all, it is superior to the proper controllers in nearly every conceivable way. There is just one problem... it's fuck-ugly. It's looks like someone beat an Imperial Stormtrooper to death with an arc welder.
It's not even cheap either: it costs $59.99 as opposed to the DS3's $54.99. It does however have the advantage of arriving ahead of Sony's April release date and is available now. If you really can't wait to feel the old familiar whir of weighted motors beneath your palms, you can go ahead and pick one up right away. Expect people to point. And stare.
