About me

Thought I'd rewrite this a bit to say more about me than about My Opera. I'm not sure how I learned about Opera originally, but as soon as I learned the company was based in Norway I knew I had to have the browser. While I've never been to Europe, I have been to the Norway pavilion at Epcot and really loved it. The restaurant, shops, the Maelstrom ride and the buffet inside their replica of a portion of Akershus Castle are just awesome. One of the coolest pavilions at Epcot, in my opinion.

As for me, I love the Opera browser, and found the social part via their home page, and so I am here, seeing if this is anything up to the snuff that MySpace has become. In some ways I find it easier and cleaner, but I don't see many fellow USA people here, so maybe not the best venue to connect and be social. I usually don't Add/Friend people who don't use their real first or full name. I've also got a half dozen or so Friend requests out there and I think those people gave up on My Opera, or they don't want to be Friends. Lastly, since I've found no way to show a more precise location other than my country, I'm in Washington State.

I sent a note to Opera about the fact that photo ratings are only viewable and usable by visitors, that we cannot see them from within our own accounts. They actually responded saying the problem has been varified and will hopefully be resolved by the development team. Wow! A response, both intelligent and friendly! On that one, My Opera ROCKS!

  • Food I like:Meat/cheese and fruit/veggie trays.
  • I don't like:Nuts, peppers, onions, also anchovies (except in ceasar salads).
  • Software I use:Mac OS and Windows. Would love to try Linux one of these days.
