Taboos

Not a long time ago someone I added in opera sent me a message and told me I don't want to be rude but it seems that you have misspelled Gadfly in your profile, i wondered how long that's been wrong and no one has told me because they think it's rude or whatever, this made think of something bigger, the taboos.
I think most of the taboos that we create in our life do more damage than good, at least that's what I've seen so far in my life, so I break the taboos where there is no reason for them to be there (believe me usually there isn't).
One of the most familiar situation is being in trouble, anybody who comes around asks us if we're OK and we can tell him/her our problem, instead we think "this is a PERSONAL problem, no one else talks about this stuff, why should I?" so we say nothing, while we need to talk to someone and get help.
