I read blogs for a living

And I think I like it

300

,

300 the movie

On Saturday I went to the movies* and finally got to see the anticipated movie of the year: 300. And, OH MY GOD, what a flick. Kudos to Zack Snyder for being who he is. love

As described in an earlier blog post:

300 is an epic drama on how 300 Spartans defended the pass of Thermopylae against a huge Persian army. Their heroic effort united Greece in fighting against the Persian army

And for those who criticize the movie about being historically incorrect, packed with cliche dialogues, stupid, etc. they just don't get it. It's a popcorn movie of monstrous dimensions, and should only be treated so as well. The only thing I'm sure of is that I'm gonna go see it again.

Have you seen it? What did you think?

*With a woman.

I saw it. It sort of demonizes the Persians, but I don't mind as long as people view it as a legendary tale; I hope no one takes it as an accurate historical recount. Many of the scenes were breath-taking while others were somewhat tasteless, this is definitely a film based on a comic book. Altogether, I really liked the film. The characters, landscapes, and battles were all very cool.

As a Persian, I feel more offended by the crimes being commited against Persians today, by there own government.

(I revised this a little)

As far as being Persian today, this is a crime, and should be stopped.

I seen it last night and thought it was brilliant. Love the cgi-ness and the whole look and style of the film; it all felt quite real. I recommend this film and give it four point five out of five.

Excellent.

I want it... on HD-DVD (not that I have a HD player, yet)

Havent you heard? There "won't" be no HD-DVD or Blue-Ray (stupid names anyway).

Espen:

I read that article about HD-DVD/Blu-Ray and I think there is a future in it when it becomes more affordable. You see, with those discs you can store up to 20 Gigs of data, which is unnessesary for film, but a great idea for computers. Of course, right now an ordinary DVD can handle most needs, and HD-DVD writers would be expensive and take a long time to use. In the future though...

Wathced it. Great movie. Great comic. And since the story is unveiled from a narrator's point of view (the narrator being in the battle) - exaggeration is natural. And "the bad" are always ugly, and "the good" always wear white hats.

What Pain Diviner said is exactly true.

Director Snyder said "Dilios is a guy who knows how not to wreck a good story with truth."

Sounds good to me.
