I read blogs for a living

And I think I like it

Grand Theft Auto IV

Ok, who has it? Because I don't.

I've been calling every major game store in Oslo, and the entire city seems to be sold out. Stupid me who didn't buy it this morning... I overslept, and was late for work.

Damn. :furious:

I want it now!

Update: I got it. :hat:

Deep breath Espen, violent video games are not supposed to link to violence in real life.

I don't have it, either. :frown:

I haven't quite mastered the art of planning ahead yet.

We have it  I've played 15 hours so far since we got it yesterday  .
It's really good. They've really done well on pretty much everything, to be honest. The wanted level system is the best they've had so far, and there's tons to do. They've made the GTA experience more... Involving, you feel like a real part of the city, seeing the sites, befriending people, and random encounters are really cool.

I could talk forever on this, sorry this comment's so long :left:

Yeah, there's even some nasty surprises waiting in the game. Psychotic stalker girlfriends, a version of the iPhone, a website on child beauty pageants that's been shut down by the FBI and gives you a four star wanted level, Ricky "Seriously my jokes are really funny cause my mum told me so" Gervais and loads more. It's not a revolutionary game but they've improved each of the systems to make it more immersive, and always give you chances to do something.

There's loads of copies left in this crappy little town. Come visit us on the Opera jet and we'll take you shopping.

I bought it on the day of release. Just strolled into a store near me and picked up a copy - without a pre-order or anything. I've still not played it.

I was waiting to take delivery of a new Samsung 37" Hi-Def tele, only, it hasn't turned up. It is really tempting to open it and just play it on my normal 19" TV. Must resist.

I bought it yesterday, but I still haven't played it. I want to make sure I can't be interrupted for at least 2-3 hours when I first start it. Also, the weather here is beautiful, so no strong urge to play, yet.

But it's reassuring to know that I have it, and I can play it anytime I want.

I've been ill the past two days, so it was the perfect opportunity to play the game. The weather had been really nice here too - and I was a bit disappointed that I was too unwell to go out properly. Instead of playing GTA, I slept. Lots. I've had 24hrs sleep over the past 48 hours. :D

Today the weather is really crap and raining. I'm feeling a bit better and am going to risk going out to a festival in a minute. I don't know how long I'll last. Maybe today's the day I should be stopping home and playing GTA. heh.

Of course it is man. What do you think you're doing having a real life. :irked: Go chill out on the game until you've made some friends and visited the comedy club.

Ah, Espen you're such a game addict P:

Lucky me, who's not interested at all in this game.
But when "Drakensang" comes out, I'll definately need holidays for at least a week. *scratching the desk with his fingernails*

I've still not played GTA IV yet. Nor have I got my tele yet. Pixmania are rubbish - I've re-ordered with Amazon.

Still! :eyes: I couldn't wait that long with something sitting on the shelf. :sst: Especially if it's a pastry...

Argh - my finances won't stretch around a new game. I was gonna rent it but when I went to Blockbuster they only have the old 360 games there - seems to be industry practice to release them to rent after a few months of them being out!

Damn the games companies and their wicked ways! Will have to borrow it from a friend but that just feels all cheap and nasty!

By fritter, # 22. May 2008, 20:33:09

avatar
Just where you are Fritter. Most Blockbusters get rental titles as soon as they're available to buy. Hold a protest, man.

By Furie, # 23. May 2008, 13:51:23

Well when I saw Oblivion with a "New Release" sticker on it I figured my theory must've been right.

By fritter, # 23. May 2008, 15:51:23

avatar
Nope. Every Blockbuster I've been to has had actual new releases for rental. Yours is just poo

Ah well, not having that game gives me more time to play guitar. Maybe I'll learn something new rather than the 5 songs I've known since I was 18.

Damn you The Fray! Why did you have to make "How to save a life" so easy to play, easy to sing but so hard to do them both at the same time?

By fritter, # 23. May 2008, 16:22:15

avatar
You gotta sing, play guitar AND headbang while smoking if ya wanna be a legend. :D

By Furie, # 23. May 2008, 17:16:21

avatar
Think I might need to learn to sing or play first. I do both pretty badly = good job I live alone!

By fritter, # 24. May 2008, 08:50:38

avatar
Singing badly is no fun without other people around. Why do you think Singstar or Karaoke are so popular. The true test of singing badly comes from what you sing at karaoke. If it's anything but Angels, you're not that bad.
