Why? Because SMS voting is done to determine winners, not a professional jury.

Norwegian snowboarder Torstein Horgmo did a «Switch backside 1260», but lost in the final to Travis Rice from the US because more people voted for him. It's unserious by X Games to determine winners like this. Of course the American are going to vote for their own rider. Should've used a jury for this one!

When it comes to sports (and especially technical ones like Snowboarding) they really should use a professional jury to judge.

I used to love watching the X games when I got off work. Oh to fly like that...

I think Tamil means that it became a popularity contest and that the categories needn't have been defined as everyone voted for their friends without bothering to check the category entrants. Kind of the opposite effect to how it was meant to be. Some people took that contest way too seriously as well.

Mr Tamil, your mission should you choose to accept it, is to infiltrate and work with the Opera Mini team, getting them to understand that mobloggers need to be able to see gifs moving without downloading them each time. Then infiltrate the desktop team and replace the regular smilies with your versions.
